Test Engineer with COBOL knowledge

Job description:

• Further development and maintenance of the mainframe-based process "CAM platform" using the technologies Cobol, CICS, MQ, DB2, etc. in the test.
• Technical design based on customer requirements and creation of test designs and test concepts in the functional domain.
• Implementation and testing (test design, test concept, test documentation) of customer requirements on the basis of specialised concepts
• Replacement of the existing middleware for client connection with a connection via web services (provider and requester under CICS Transaction Server)
• Test conception and test design of the technical components in the application environment on the basis of the technologies used, including the associated interfaces, modules and corresponding databases, in compliance with the client's standards.
• Creation of test concepts based on the customer's requirements and the system environment supported.
• Creation of test designs on the basis of specialised concepts in accordance with suitable test design methods, functional and technical as well as end-to-end tests.
• Test execution of system tests, regression tests, E2E tests as well as the creation of defects and the retesting of these or defects found in the acceptance test after rectification
• Coordination with test partners for comprehensive tests in the system environment
• Documentation of the test cases carried out and creation of test reports
• Handover of delivery objects for the relevant procedures to the customer
• Preparation of decision templates for testing the procedures

Requirements:

• Current knowledge in the creation of test concepts (functional and technical) in the technological environment (Cobol, mainframe "TSO, z/OS, ISPF", DB2, REST/SOAP)
• Current knowledge in the test design creation of system tests, regression tests and E2E tests in the technological environment (Cobol, mainframe "TSO, z/OS, ISPF", DB2, REST/SOAP)
• Current knowledge in the execution of tests (system tests, regression test, E2E test, defect management) in the technological environment (Cobol, mainframe "TSO, z/OS, ISPF", DB2, REST/SOAP)
• Extensive methodological knowledge and several years of experience in software testing (conception, test design and implementation) as well as the process models of software development such as waterfall, RUP, V-model, Scrum, Kanban)
• Experience in rail transport companies with rail and freight transport
• ISTQB Full Advanced Level - (Technical Test Analyst) or comparable qualification
• Methodological expertise, process models and experience in establishing quality assurance processes and procedures
• Proficiency in German at a communicative level (B2)
