Job description

CORE Services operates on the market since 2010, we provide services to the largest institutions from the banking and financial sector, automotive, media industry, IT companies as well as dynamically developing software houses.
Currently, for our client operating in medical sector and for client in cutting-edge technology we are looking for: 

CloudOps Engineer/ DevOps 

Localization: Wrocław/ Wrocław (remote work possible)

Key Tasks and Responsibilities (CloudOps role):
·         work closely with the Cloud Platform Product Owner to help define User Stories and their relative priority with paying down technical debt
·         work closely with the SCRUM Master to manage workflow through the cloud platform team and continuously improve the Agile team's ways-of-working
·         refining User Stories with Product Teams, InfoSec, and Compliance - working closely with those stakeholders during development and agreeing their User Story is done
·         working closely with Product Teams in their early development of the delivery pipeline so that their product can be built from a source-controlled code base using the templates from automation tools that you will support
·         developing automation and operational capabilities to support non-cloud native workloads that need to be managed with a data centre like model e.g. backups, patching
·         develop testing frameworks to assure successful releases of the cloud platform
·         working with Product Teams to develop their application architecture to be cloud native e.g. automated config and builds, robust and scalable - critical products are able to survive the Chaos Monkey

Key Tasks and Responsibilities( DevOps role):

  • Support of existing build and release environments for embbeded projects (C)
  • Support of existing build environments for Java projects
  • Create and maintenance build/release solutions based on defined requirements
  • Integration of external tools to the build environment
  • Describe build processes for certification purposesmulti-site project (Romania, Poland, USA)
 
Certificates (CloudOps role)
  • certification with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
  • ITIL or IT4IT Service Management Qualifications
  • agile certification
  • degree level education

Knowledge and Experience (CloudOps role):
 
·         7+ years' experience in IT Infrastructure systems administration, engineering and operations including virtualisation, storage, networks, automation and monitoring tooling
·         3-5 years' experience of DevOps roles
·         2 years' experience of developing Infrastructure as Code, managing GIT source control
·         Experience of Agile ways-of-working including SCRUM and Kanban and working in Jira
·         Running Incidents, Crisis Management and Business Recovery
·         Advanced knowledge of Cloud Service Providers, AWS preferred, including certifications
·         Advanced knowledge of orchestrating infrastructure through Terraform (preferred) or CFTs/ARTs and configuration tools such as Chef, Ansible or AWS System Manager
·         Advanced knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools such as AWS Code Pipeline, GITLAB, Jenkins or Bamboo and their integration with test automation and code scanning tools
·         Strong knowledge of IaaS, PaaS and Containers-as-a-Service from AWS and/or Azure
·         Strong knowledge of IT Service Management operating models for infrastructure (ITIL
·         Curious about new technologies, ways-of-working and the application of technology in medical devices

Knowledge and Experience (DevOps role):

  • 3+ years of professional experience in a similar position
  • Excellent knowledge of build systems - CMake, GNU make, Ant, Gradle
  • Knowledge of procedures used in software production
  • Ability to solve non-trivial issues
  • Ability to work in Windows/Linux environments
  • Very good English

Knowledge of :
  • Commercial and non-commercial compilers (uVision, Green Hills, GCC, LLVM)
  • Debuggers (uLink, Lauterbach, jLink)
  • Static analysis tools
  • Version control systems (SVN, Git)
  • Continuous integration systems (Jenkins, TeamCity, etc)
  • Test procedures
