Web Developer – remote part-time job 

We're looking for a technically inclined web developer experienced with building and running websites on WordPress to work on a semi-regular basis. We're looking for someone capable of managing the web server and front-end. Our websites are already built and hosted. They mostly need administering, tweaking, and content updating. However, cleanup, optimization and performance are a big focus and will be an important part of the job. We also use Webflow to host some of the websites so experience with the platform is a plus. 

What you will be doing: 

·       Ensure websites are constantly up and running 

·       Ensure websites are responsive and mobile friendly 

·       Perform regular backups and maintenance 

·       Update content on all current websites 

·       Troubleshoot performance issues 

·       Optimize websites for speed 

·       Collaborate with the content team, designers, and translators 

Must-have skills: 

·       Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS 

·       Very good knowledge of WordPress (setup from scratch, customizing themes, debugging plugins) 

·       Functional knowledge of JavaScript and popular JS libraries 

·       Experience deploying and maintaining web servers that run WordPress 

·       Experience connecting websites with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, also setting up triggers, tags, and events 

·       Analytical and problem-solving skills 

·       Good communication skills 

Nice to have skills: 

·       Experience with domain and DNS management 

·       Experience with Nginx/Apache 

·       Experience with AWS instance management and backups 

·       Experience working and building sites in Webflow
