Client: Fygi Technologies delivers mobile self-servicing software in the retail tech domain. The customers are future-oriented retailers that wish to provide their customers with a smooth and frictionless shopping experience.
Fygi Technologies offers its customers an unprecedented competitive advantage through self-servicing solutions. The cloud-based solutions for mobile phones free up staff time, and dramatically reduce retailers’ reliance on expensive hardware, such as self-checkout stations and traditional POS systems. The company uses the most modern development tools and a scalable cloud architecture to enable super-efficient employment of new customers, functionality, and services.

Project overview:
Fygi currently develops two products: Scan Pay Go, a mobile self-service solution for retail, and FygiEye (details subject to NDA), our own anti-theft hardware system.
Scan Pay Go consists of consumer/employee companion apps (Web, iOS, Android) and backend and integrations services (C# dotnet core, ASP.NET, .NET 5, Entity Framework Core, SQL). The front-end technologies are Flutter and Angular.

Working Culture:
We use a Kanban-inspired process. Tasks are subject to internal code review before moving on to functional testing from other parts of the organization. Code changes are continually monitored by our TeamCity build server.

Our teams use Kanban as the chosen agile development process, with a prioritized backlog, and a high level of cooperation to produce the most business value at any given time. Developers choose their tasks freely from the board (some constraints on knowledge). Our nearshoring team will be an integrated part of this workflow. Every morning we have a short stand-up, and little overhead in daily development.
Also, we try to ensure the code quality in every possible way, we do Code Review to keep our code clean.

Or if you are experienced and interested in algorithms, specifically used for data analysis, you can be involved in this part of the project:
The algorithm part of the job is filtering and analyzing RFID tag data from RFID readers on the device, detecting tags passing the device. RFID knowledge is not required.
Machine learning knowledge is a bonus, this project will develop into that eventually, but not over the next few months
Experience with microcontrollers/low-level programming might be a great benefit.
