Job description

Within the Risikoqualität (Risk quality) cluster we deliver:

  • Internal and external APIs for the restructuring process
  • Base-services for the Commerzbank AG Credit Risk and Intensive Care business
  • Operation and enhancements for the target architecture platform credit risk (PCR), ABIT and CIMT
  • Consolidation of applications and decommissioning of legacy applications

Our main technologies are IBM BPM, IBM ODM, IBM DSI, IBM/ KNOWIS ISF, WebSphere Application Server, Java, Oracle Databaseand Unix.

In your role as Application Operation Manager you will be a member of the international team for risk quality which maintains and operates applications and services based on an IBM/ Knowis-Technology framework.

You are responsible for understanding complex applications, data flows and their business purpose in order to run our IT landscape. With a personalized training and coaching program you will be enabled to grow into an IBM/ Knowis-Technology expert position. Furthermore, you handle incidents, problems and changes. You communicate with developers, as well as operations staff.

Main tasks:

  • You will be one of the experts in the team responsible for application management aspects - a combination of application management and understanding of technology used (IBM/ Knowis-Technology, webserver and database technologies)
  • You will monitor and maintain stable operation of production. In case of minor deviations or issues you will initiate appropriate correction measures as defined
  • Creation and management of technical documentation
  • Operations monitoring
  • Handling of changes/ incidents/ problems with HP Service Manager

Main skills:

  • Practical experience in application management of IT systems
  • Maintain applications in Unix/Linux environments
  • Basic experience in job scheduling, ideally UC4
  • Basic experience in HP-Service Manager and ITIL 


Alternative skills:

  • SQL, Oracle, relational databases - Usage of databases required for the application and interfaces
  • JIRA - tool for collaboration and task management
  • Understanding of agile principles

To be trained:

  • Implement modules / functions, support incident and problem analysis - Websphere Application Server
  • Implement / deploy applications based on IBM BPM (base system of application landscape)
  • Framework subsiding on top of BPM - IBM/ Knowis ISF

Foreign Language Skills: 

  • B2 Level in English
