Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer in Test to help us in building Leica GNSS and TPS sensors. You will be working in an international environment with cutting-edge technologies.

Software Engineer

• Developing outstanding user space applications for embedded Linux system.
• Take part of the software development team to deliver innovative product into the market.
• Ensure the software quality using “Clean-Code” principles and automated tests within a CI/CD pipeline
• Working in an international Agile software development team
• Upholding software quality through the application of “Clean-Code” principles, code generators and automated tests within a robust CI/CD pipeline
• Drive testing strategy on all levels and for different purposes (e.g. regression testing, long-term testing, …)
• Help defining system- or module tests to verify and validate the acceptance criteria
• Consult the teams and help implementing the software architecture or component design to enable efficient automated testing on different levels
• Drive automatization strategy of testing on module-, component- or system level
• Fully integrated into Software Development Team to make the importance of testing transparent and elevate testing to an important topic of the whole team
• Responsible for the software quality assurance of the product

Collaboration with other teams

• Collaborate with other teams and locations to align the extension of the data model SDK
• Work closely with product managers, domain experts, development teams, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements
• Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to collaboration standards.
• Foster open communication to address issues promptly and effectively.

Qualifications

• A university- or technical college degree in Software Engineering, Mathematics, Geodesy or related discipline
• At least 5 years of professional experience in software development
• Experience with QA and testing in the field of C++ and Python
• You are familiar working with tools like GitHub, conan, cmake, Artifactory, Team City and Jira
