.NET Engineer
Wrocław
Role Summary:
The global engineering team is responsible for the designing, engineering and documenting solutions for database platforms (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and noSQL) on premise or in Azure. We are looking for a new member in our team, helping us to timely deliver our SOA system releases in the database as a service solutions. We need your help to provide robust infrastructure to our company-internal customers.
You will work closely with customers and peers, needing to influence key stakeholders in the relevant area of expertise to support your ideas and solutions. Internally, these stakeholders would include senior technical experts within the global technology organization. Externally, you will interact with vendor organizations such as Microsoft, etc.
The Role Involves:
- Maintenance and enhancements of a wide range of tools that are used to administer and automate both legacy & strategic Database Ecosystem environments;
- Development and Maintenance of Web Services Development and Maintenance of Web GUIs;
- Integration of AD services and functions with a wider set of processes & tools;
- Workflow development;
- Collaborating with peer Technology teams (e.g. OS Engineering, Storage, Cloud Engineering, Networks and Systems Management);
- Work with vendors like Microsoft to integrate solutions with cloud (AZURE);
- Integrating tightly into the working processes of global DB Engineering, Platform Development and Provisioning;
- Contributing to security baselines, patch and vulnerability policies and lifecycle management guidelines;
- Collaborating with DB Operations and provide 3rd level support on request.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in .Net Framework platform;
- At least 3 years of experience in Application Development or Systems Architecture with a focus on developing .NET solutions;
- Experience developing multi-tier applications with .NET languages (C# experience preferred);
- Experience/understanding of programming and using Web services, WCF services, SOAP, XML, SAML, REST;
- SQL development experience (PL-SQL, T-SQL);
- Automation abilities in Microsoft ecosystem (PowerShell);
- Ability to work autonomously and problem solve;
- Fluent written and spoken English;
- Problem Solving and Cross-Technical Integration;
- University degree in computer science or equivalent.
Nice to have:
- Large organization experience preferred (does not have to be financial service);
- Web development experience (Asp.Net);
- Windows Workflow Foundation experience;
- IT Infrastructure Engineering or Database Skills;
- Working Experience in Large Financial Organizations;
- Kerberos / Active Directory Authentication;
- MSSQL or Oracle experience;
- AZURE experience;
- Experience in Automation, Testing, defining Standards;
- Structured Documentation.
