Workday Extend Developer

Join a focused project for a key US-based client to build a custom HCM application using Workday Extend. You will be part of a 4-month development sprint, working under the guidance of a Lead Project Architect. This is a pure development role—the design and requirements gathering are handled externally, allowing you to focus entirely on building and deploying the Extend apps.

• Project Type: HCM-based Extend Application.

• Capacity: 20–40 hours per week (depending on final design scope).

• Schedule: Must be available for significant overlap with US time zones.

Responsibilities

• App Development: Execute the development of multiple Workday Extend applications based on provided architectural designs.

• HCM Integration: Ensure all Extend apps are correctly integrated with the existing Workday HCM environment.

• Technical Execution: Build, test, and deploy features in alignment with the Lead Architect's requirements.

• Rapid Delivery: Work within a fast-paced onboarding and development window to meet the 4-month project deadline.

Requirements

• Workday Extend: Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience specifically with Workday Extend.

• Experience: A proven track record of developing multiple Extend apps, specifically on the HCM side.

• Independence: Ability to take architectural specs and translate them into functional code without needing design-level supervision.

• Reliability: High level of trustworthiness and professional accountability
