Your impact & mission
As a visionary (OTT) architect, you understand today’s challenges for broadcasters and are able to solve those effectively by offering the smartest SaaS platform for broadcasters selling videos online.
Your mission is to shape the structure and drive architectural changes of the Cleeng platform, making sure it is extendible, scalable, maintainable and ready to meet our enterprise clients needs, as well as the needs of millions of viewers around the world.
Solving effectively the interoperability challenges (many devices, many payment gateways, many ID-service providers, many analytics, etc) of the video eco-system will be key, and it will make Cleeng even more the “must have commerce platform” for any innovative broadcaster.
Responsibilities
- Design, manage and communicate effectively about the core services and the information architecture of the Cleeng platform.
- Drive technical innovation by selecting the best technologies and patterns to be used by the platform team.
- Act as a technical advisor and coach to other engineers. Map and document existing and future components in order to spread the knowledge and improve onboarding.
- Keep technical debt under control by analyzing existing codebase and flagging potential risks.
- Work closely with members of the Professional Services team to solve the interoperability challenges of the video ecosystem and design smartly APIs – both internal and client facing.
Required Skills/Experience
- Expert knowledge of one or more programming languages (PHP, Java, Python).
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and good practices (Clean code, SOLID, …) and their practical applications.
- Experience working with layered architectures (Hexagonal, DDD, CQRS…)
- Deep understanding of modern system architecture (e.g. micro-services, containers, …).
- Experience taking a lead role in building complex end-to-end saas software systems that has been delivered to clients
- Eagerness to learn and work outside your technology comfort zone.
- Strong communication skills, ability to effectively structure and present complex information.
- Ability to be self-motivated, independent, and detail-oriented.
- Preferably experience with IAM, reporting, commerce, payments or video security systems.
- Having worked with or for broadcasters is a strong plus
- 2+ years of experience on a similar position, at least 5 years of experience as software engineer.
