Your impact & mission
To strengthen our core R&D team in Poznan, we’re looking for a talented backend engineer who has passion for building robust payment and accounting services.

Your mission will be: to create the most flexible and reliable payment system for billing of online videos across devices around the world.
Responsibilities:
- Integrating and technically operating new payment methods and gateways (Local payments, telco billing, in-app payments) into the Cleeng platform – from handling simple one-time payments to complex processing of recurring billings.
- Responsible for further scaling up the recurring billing engine, so to support the millions of transactions happening across the different devices and gateways and smartly apply dunning to further reduce involuntary churn.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Proven experience of commercial coding for at for at least 2 years (not necessarily in PHP, although we code our platform backend in this language).
- Abstract thinking for understanding, modeling and documenting complex processes.
- Understanding of good OOP practices (keywords: SOLID, DDD).
- A practical can-do mentality, with strong ability to get things done.
- Experience with integrating payment gateways – ideally including subscriptions and in-app purchases (preferred, not essential).
- Good attitude and good sense of humor. 😉

- Backend is API-centric, written mainly in PHP 7.1. We use MySQL and Redis for data storage.
- Infrastructure is hosted in AWS.
- We organize our work with SCRUM.
