Software Developer .NET

Job Overview 

This role will work as Software Developer in an Software Development team, as a key contributor in projects across the ClearDebit product suite. The role will be expected to take responsibility for delivering projects as an engineer on a small team within the wider engineering group. The role will also contribute to ongoing processes of continuous improvement, of both the quality and execution of the product, and our internal processes.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Software Development

• Development of software, to include design, analysis, documentation, coding and testing where applicable.
• Participating in code reviews and pair programming exercises
• Solve problems and fix bugs in new and existing software applications

Client Consultancy

• Liaising with potential and actual clients with regard to ClearDebit software products

Client Software Deployment

• Implementation and documentation of software deployment

Technical Documentation

• Taking working applications, and new requirements and documenting all aspects as required. To include design specifications, support documentation, and tester documentation.
• Maintaining all documentation to ensure it is up to date

General

• From time to time you will be asked to carry out short, one off jobs outside of the above

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience with .NET technologies (C# / VB.NET / ASP.NET).
• Experience with web-based technologies (HTML / CSS / JavaScript).
• Experience with SQL Server.
• Experience in building, testing and maintaining modern software applications.
• Experience of technical ownership of a project or product.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Relevant Degree Qualification
• DevOps – e.g Azure DevOps, Kubernetes etc
• Observability – e.g. Sentry, New Relic etc
