Cloud Architect
As a Cloud Architect he/she will be a part of the global team of technical experts. He/She will lead the high-level and detailed architecture of complex systems related to a broad range of business areas. His/Her overall responsibilities will include architecting, designing, and demonstrating strong estimation and planning skills, leading planning for native cloud migrations and cloud shared services expansions/enhancements supporting cloud production environments. He/She will integrate those solutions in a secure manner into the existing Clariant`s Cloud environment. He/She will also provide guidance and consultancy to business on these technologies and support project managers during the planning of cloud-based software projects. Finally, he/she will develop, design, and maintain cloud delivery methodologies, governance framework and security standards. He/She will build Clariant of tomorrow.
Primary responsibilities:
- Designing enterprise scale, globally distributed, highly available solutions using AWS Services
- Migrating legacy enterprise applications to the AWS cloud
- Working as an Architect including design, building and maintaining complex, cloud-based solutions
- Creation of technical specifications or architecture visions covering quality attributes, diagrams, associated risks, technical and system requirements
- Act as the trusted technical advisor in resolving complex AWS Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps challenges
- Leading/guiding engineers to drive them, decompose the complexity to tasks, mentor them and back-up if needed, communicate and convince around that or another decision
- Leading or assisting in project implementation, estimation and roadmap construction
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills to lead change and adoption of new technologies
We wish you have:
- 5 or more years of hands-on experience as DevOps / Cloud Engineer
- 3 or more years architecting (discovery, assessment, design), implementing and supporting Cloud based infrastructure and topologies
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional/AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
- A proven track record architecting/deploying/operating solution built on AWS
- A proven track record migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud
- Hands-on experience with configuration management and IaaC technologies (Chef/Ansible/Puppet/Salt and Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Hands-on experience with version control & continuous integration tools (Git and GitLab/Jenkins)
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Ability to work independently without extensive oversight
- Organized and focus on quality
- Good communications and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical problem-solving ability
- Be able to lead and work collaboratively in a team environment
