Senior Python Developer

Salary range: B2B 38 - 40E/h + VAT 💰

Ciklum is looking for a Senior Python Developer to join our team full-time in Poland.

The Client is the central solution provider for information technology of the group. The project is about to plan, develop and operate all aspects of information technology ranging from network infrastructure over classic back-end-systems to the latest digital technology and all required services. Our IT experts are highly skilled developers with innovative visions and growth mindset.

They combine online pure play with omnichannel experience and set new standards for the optimal use of future-proof IT solutions in fashion retail. Our work is technically demanding and challenging, with the aim of maximizing individual development potential to provide a value-added contribution to achieve the company's goal of becoming Europe’s leading omnichannel retailer for fashion.

Responsibilities:

• Back-end development to meet customer’s business needs and implement components according to modern software development environment (cloud-based platforms, microservice architecture, etc.)
• Taking part in the decision-making process in design application architecture, solution development, architecture and code review
• Develop and review feature design documents and provide inputs/update to specifications for the solution
• Design and implement a set of various types of tests (unit, integration, functional, etc)
• Proactive position in solution development, processes improvements
• Working in an international distributed team in an Agile environment
• Communicate with PMs, engineers, Architects, QA and other colleagues and stakeholders
• Delivering the product roadmap and plannings
• To use high coding standards, software best practices and write highly testable, automatable and performant code over the whole SDLC

Requirements:

• Paradigm Principles (OOP, SOLID, DDD, TDD, BDD)
• Database theory (RDBMS)
• Code testing practices
• Algorithms
• Data structures
• Architectural, Enterprise and Design Patterns

Practical commercial experience with:

• Web application frameworks (e.g. FastAPI)
• Write pure OpenAPI (more than 3 year)
• Testing frameworks (pytest) (more than 2 years)
• ORM (SQLAlchemy) (more than 2 year)
• RDBMS (PostgreSQL) (more than 2 year)
• Stream processing(Apache Kafka)
• Version control systems (GIT)
• Cloud computing platforms (Google Cloud Platform)
• Integration with 3rd party solutions
• Docker, k8s
• Continuous Integration tools (Github actions)
• Builders

Experience with:

• Troubleshooting, profiling and debugging applications
• Creation software architecture and design of complex applications, platforms, microservices solutions
• Agile software processes and technologies
• Code Review process
• Refactoring process
• Fluent or Upper-Intermediate English
