Job description

Systems & Network Engineer - CIC Poland

Are you a jack-of-all-trades in systems and networks with a passion for operating, implementing, and maintaining lean infrastructure solutions?

If so, CIC invites you to join our dynamic team as a Systems & Network Engineer.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK

As a Systems & Network Engineer at CIC, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our systems and network infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in keeping the lights up, improving business efficiency through technology and meeting our growth aspirations. You will work closely with IT teams based in the US, Poland and Japan. Due to the nature of our business (and awesome offices we have!), we work in a hybrid office model and expect you to be here at least 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

🌐 Networks: Monitor, troubleshoot, configure our networks (we are very heavy on Wi-Fi, which is one of the main services provided to our clients) with hundreds of Access Points and low footprint network stacks.

🌐 Systems: Introduce and operate core and auxiliary systems (Google Workspace, Atlassian JIRA SM, Salto, Poly, Print Servers (PaperCut), MDMs and more).

🌐 Physical Access Control: Set up and manage scalable and reliable door access controls for CIC’s Campuses across the world. This means thousands of locks globally, even more user access cards which must give and take access to our spaces securely and reliably.

🌐 Incident Response: Monitor networks and systems, work through quick resolution and continuously improve things. Participate in on-call rota for network-related emergencies.

🌐 Documentation: Maintain comprehensive network and systems documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and change management records.

🌐 Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and provide technical guidance and support.

ABOUT YOU

You are a professional who enjoys experimenting with technologies but also knows when to standardize for scale. You have great communication skills, both written and verbal for conveying technical information to non-technical audiences. You have strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Also we expect you to:

Must have:

</> Demonstrate at least 3 years of practical experience in managing LAN/WAN networks, ideally with robust Wi-Fi and different routing protocols (e.g. BGP).

</> Knowledge of systems and network monitoring tools like Zabbix, Nagios, Solarwinds or similar.

</> Experience with day-to-day administration of both Linux and Windows Server operating systems in standalone and virtualized environments (e.g. Proxmox, Hyper-V).

</> Experience working with either Microsoft Active Directory and/or Google Workspace environments.

</> Strong communication and collaboration abilities. English language proficiency at C1 level in both speaking and writing.

Desirable:

• Experience working with IT Service Management principles (ITIL certification would be plus).

• Knowledge of physical access controls (e.g. Salto systems).

• Awareness of project management methodologies.

• Can-do attitude, joy in doing technical things and a sense of ownership.

OUR OFFER

📌 Full-time employment contract (no B2B option).

📌 Compensation is within 20.000 - 23.000 zł gross range, depending on experience.

📌 Private medical care (family or individual plan).

📌 City transportation card (ZTM).

📌 PPK (optional).

📌 Allocated budget for training (customized to specific requirements of the role and organization's objectives).

Please submit your application in English. Thank you!
