Do you want to have a real influence on the product we are creating?
Our company has a startup-feel, small, Agile development team & flat structure (your manager reports to the COO). The end users of your systems are your colleagues at CIC, who you meet daily, so you can see what impact your work has on the end users.

ABOUT CIC & CIC WARSAW
CIC is a global leader in building and operating innovation communities. Founded in 1999 in Cambridge, MA, CIC is one of the first companies to offer flexible office space and coworking options, providing a platform for the world’s most impactful entrepreneurs to innovate better and faster. We have locations in Boston, Cambridge, Philadelphia, Providence, St. Louis, Rotterdam, Warsaw, and Tokyo and are growing into other cities.

CIC Warsaw, opened in 2020, is one of the largest innovation-oriented centers in Europe. Our office is located directly next to the Warsaw Central train station and is housed within Varso Place, a new landmark on Warsaw’s map with the tallest building in the EU. Our Warsaw team consists not only of community and relationship teams working together to provide the best community experience but also finance, IT, software and recruiting teams supporting our global efforts.

ABOUT YOUR TEAM
The Global Software Engineering Team (GSET) is fully located in CIC Warsaw - one of the largest innovation-oriented centers in Europe. Our office is located directly next to the Warsaw Central train station and is housed within Varso Place.

We are starting to build a new system for sales, inventory & billing for the core business of all global CIC sites. We are using the newest technologies as we are building a new system from scratch.

In our company the software development team (and other teams too!) is choosing who will join them, so that the decision is made collectively and based on one’s competencies. Your yearly salary raise is clearly defined, based on evaluation of your work. You receive regular feedback about your performance from your colleagues, teammates and other stakeholders. That’s our company culture - truly people oriented, agile, with a strong focus on DEIB, taking into account everyone’s opinions. We want to have people on the team who like to cooperate with each other and love what they do.

If you’re excited to work with teams across three continents, are able to make connections with all stakeholders regardless of their location, you feel comfortable working on both UX and UI, willing to learn beyond what you know, then that’s the offer for you!

Our Team’s Tech Stack
• Regularly updated frameworks: Angular 11+, Python with Django 3.2+
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes
• Mockups & Design: Figma
• Jira, Selenium, Testrail, Bitbucket

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK
As a part of the CIC’s Global Software Engineering Team, you will cooperate with our development team & CIC business stakeholders from around the globe. Your main task would be to identify needs, discover and analyze requirements, and think of process and application designs. You will work closely with the Product Owner (who is also a senior UX/UI specialist).

Potential responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Preparation of the research plan for the selected modules.
• Conducting UX research (independently or in cooperation with PO).
• Helping in collection of business requirements.
• Analyzing research data and transforming conclusions into solutions.
• Designing mock-ups, prototypes in Figma.
• Designing the final interface, using the library of ready-made components and system design (in Figma).
• Writing tasks for developers with clear acceptance criteria & mockups.
• Being an important voice in the team, participating in team decision-making on how we will implement given features.

ABOUT YOU
You have UX in your heart, understand the principles & have commercial experience in conducting UX researches. You are proactive, ready to discuss and present ideas - we are a team of innovators!

More specifically, as our ideal candidate, you have:
• Minimum 2 year commercial experience in UX.
• Experience in conducting and analyzing UX research (not necessarily independently).
• Experience in conducting and analyzing evaluation research (not necessarily independently).
• Skills to create mockups and prototypes (lo-fi, hi-fi) in Figma or a similar tool.
• Skills to design UI with the use of a library of components.
• Skills to analyze qualitative and quantitative research data.
• Detail-oriented attitude and solid organizational and time management skills.
• Great communication skills (in English), ability to make connections with various stakeholders as well as understand different perspectives and levels of interest.

Nice to have:
• Any knowledge of HTML (to understand what's possible).
