Senior C++ Engineer (multilocation)

YOUR CLIENT

Our client is one of the world’s largest social media platform, dealing with one billion events per day.

You will be responsible for investigation, creation, and implementation the solutions for existing technical challenges, including building/enhancing the frameworks and tools used by other development teams.

YOUR TASKS

• Obtaining tasks from the project lead or Team Lead (TL), prepares functional and design specifications, approves them with all stakeholders
• Ensuring that assigned area/areas are delivered within set deadlines and required quality objectives
• Providing estimations, agrees task duration with the manager and contributes to project plan of assigned area
• Analyzing scope of alternative solutions and makes decision about area implementation based on his/her experience and technical expertise
• Leading functional and architectural design of assigned areas. Makes sure design decisions on the project meet architectural and design requirements
• Addressing area-level risks, provides and implements mitigation plan
• Reporting about area readiness/quality, and raises red flags in crisis situations which are beyond his/her AOR
• Initiating and conducting code reviews, creates code standards, conventions and guidelines
• Suggesting technical and functional improvements to add value to the product

YOUR PROFILE

• 4+ years of commercial experience with C++
• Knowledge of Linux/Bash
• Basic knowledge of Docker
• Willing to collaborate with multiple teams
• Good English (oral & written); strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills 
• Ability to learn quickly 
• Experience working in Agile environment

Nice to have:

• Good knowledge of Bazel
• Experience as a Build engineer or similar role
• Knowledge of Python
