To support Calligo’s expertise, our team of developers is devoted to delivering a business intelligence software suite that not only enables our clients to access and control their services, but also enables Calligo to have an insight and manage its day to day processes and operations.

Calligo is fast growing business and has expanded into multiple regions including Channel Islands, UK, Luxembourg, Canada – to name a few. Kraków is our newest addition and the team here needs talented Ruby on Rails developers!

THE WHAT

What do we expect?

From the Senior Full Stack Ruby on Rails developer, we will expect:

  • a  fluent knowledge of Ruby on Rails
  • at least 2 years experience on the Ruby on Rails related position
  • a good theoretical and practical knowledge of object oriented design and architectural patterns
  • a good knowledge of front-end technologies and tools, e.g. SASS and BEM, JavaScript and React
  • a solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • familiarity with building and working with APIs and micro services
  • experience with Linux systems as a bonus
  • good English communication skills
  • to be keen to further develop the knowledge in various development related areas in your own time, e.g. tests, automation, CI/CD, containers, etc. as well as to be up to date with the latest Ruby and Rails and JavaScript releases, news, articles, posts.
  • to be a good team player

THE HOW

The recruitment process consists of two steps:
  1. Technical interview – during this interview we will asses your technical capabilities. It is a great opportunity to show off of your previous achievements. You will also have a chance to ask us anything about how we work.
  2. Cultural interview – a separate interview with other Calligo members to have free chat about anything you like! It is to see if we will all get on with each other, as we do invest a lot of effort into ensuring the best work environment possible.
