Job description

We are looking for a person to help with the development of our company’s website. The company is based in London but the web development team is based in Poznan, Poland. 
The services we are seeking lie mainly in the area of testing newly developed parts and features of the website and liaising with the Product Owner and the Development Team. However, the job role is more versatile and may also entail other responsibilities. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Testing newly developed system features and reporting bugs to the developers.
  • Testing existing system features and reporting bugs to the developers.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Liaising with the Product Owner in London.
  • Collaborating closely with developers team.
  • Reviewing, analyzing and describing system specifications.
  • Creating UI screens for better user experience.

Required skills and experience:

  • At least 1 year experience in developing IT projects, preferably as Project Manager, Product Owner or Software Tester.
  • Work experience in SCRUM methodology.
  • Basic knowledge about programming (PHP, JS), that will allow to communicate swiftly with the Development Team.
  • Ability to work fluently in at least one of the following: Illustrator, Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD.
  • Experience within QA activities (mainly as manual tester).
  • Fluent English (written/spoken).

Additional set of preferable skills:

  • Basic experience in UX.
  • Experience in working with JIRA software or similar.

Working conditions:

This is a freelance position and you would be working 7 hours a day from 8am to 5pm, 5 days a week. Working hours are flexible but you must be accessible during these hours via email and phone.

You would be mainly working from home at least for the first 6 months. At times, you may be asked to travel to London for a day or two (flights and accommodation would be covered by the Company). You would have to participate in Product Owner meetings with Developers in Poznan once a month.

We will be developing our website for several years to come so there will be a good work continuity for quite some time. However, we will require excellent performance and accountability from your work and on top of that you will need to show excellent communication at all times in spoken and written English. You will need to be organized and remain motivated.

Payment conditions:

You would be paid in Great British Pounds.
You will be required to send us an invoice prior to our payment.
You would have 20 days of paid holidays a year.
The Company would pay flights and accommodation to London.
