Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting .NET Developer to join our Enterprise Architecture & Fund Services team. In this role you will develop new features and modify existing capabilities to extend the functionality our core eFront platform, supporting Private Assets. 

Some of your key responsibilities include:  

  • Participate in walk-throughs which review program specifications, source code, and all technical supporting documentation, including screens/reports. Provide feedback in accordance with team standards and guidelines.
  • Design and develop new and modify programs that meet user requirements, conform to departmental standards in terms of technology as well as the newest market trends.
  • Code and test changes to programs and their associated components, including (but not limited to) screens, services, modules, queries, and stored procedures.
  • Keep track of vulnerabilities assigned to the team and escalate them appropriately
  • Plan and support Production deployments during weekends (based on team rotation schedule)
  • Participate in implementation of changes, enhancements, and newly developed programs.
  • Develop unit and integration tests that thoroughly exercise logic to ensure application functionality and performance about business requirements.
  • Provide oversight in DevOps area – helping with stabilization of CD/CI processes for new projects and introducing enhancements within existing solutions.
  • Conduct technical research and provide recommendations.
  • Taking ownership of your team’s work –demonstrating high commitment, strong work ethic and leadership skills (facilitating communication within and outside of the team, supporting the team in decision making, sharing your expertise, engaging other team members, etc.).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Solid experience in core .NET (v4.8) and libraries (2+ years)
  • Strong foundation in Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns (Clean code, SOLID) 
  • Web development skills – experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Working knowledge with MS Visual Studio for Applications and Web Services development is required
  • Experience with scripting in PowerShell or Windows Shell
  • Must have experience in building SQL queries for SQL Server (incl. stored procedures, functions…) and must understand basic principles of data modeling
  • High proficiency in development practices: unit testing, Continuous Integration (CI/CD), refactoring, clean code
  • Experience with Bitbucket/GIT source control management
  • Problem solving skills, able to determine upcoming risks & issues and address them accordingly
  • Pro-active approach and good communication skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills


Nice to have:

  • Experience with Windows Server and IIS web server
  • Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira)
  • Working experience in a financial service industry
