SharePoint Configuration/ Deployment Engineer (EU public)

Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency, is one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing EU agencies. While the responsibility for the management of the external borders remains primarily with the Member States, we support border control at land, air and sea borders by reinforcing, assessing and coordinating actions at the external borders of the EU and fighting cross-border crime.

Frontex deploy specialised border guards, as well as vessels, airplanes and other technical equipment, to those EU countries which face an increased migratory pressure. 

The establishment and operations of the Standing Corps gives raise to various novel legal challenges and risks. The selected candidate will have a chance to significantly contribute to the application of the EU law in this area by developing creative legal solutions in cooperation with internal and external partners. 

Our expectations:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in IT, preferably in software development and SharePoint environments.

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree.

• Mastery of SharePoint and SharePoint-specific tools.

• Familiarity with RUP and/or Agile methodologies.

• Experience with application build and deployment tools (e.g. Azure Pipelines).

• Knowledge of RDBMS.

• Expertise in application building and deployment.

• Knowledge of software deployment management.

• English language proficiency at B2 level or higher.

• Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment.

• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.

Key tasks:

• Support the ICT team in application build, integration, and deployment for both backend components and client devices (PC, mobile).

• Assist the ICT team with system environment configuration and management.

• Support project teams during system testing phases.

• Monitor and analyse system operation on a daily basis.

• Report, coordinate, and track technical issues related to system environments.

• Communicate and coordinate with system vendors/contractors on behalf of the Frontex ICT team regarding technical matters.

• Provide support to ICT staff and project teams in deploying development environments in Azure.
