Job description
As a PostresSQL DBA at Booksy, you will join the Performance and Productivity team responsible for:
- Performance optimisation and monitoring of our database services
- Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
- Performance tests of Booksy App
- Finding bottlenecks in the application
Your responsibilities
- Twisting and twitching current PostgreSQL configuration to achieve best performance
- Optimize current queries to reduce overall latency
- Advocate best practices of how to use PostgreSQL for best performance
- Data-related alerting in Datadog
- HIgh Availability and Disaster Recovery Planning
- Tool evaluation & testing
- Capacity planning
Ideal experience and skills
- 3+ years experience working with PostgreSQL Databases, including all aspects of installation/configuration, performance tuning, etc.
- 3+ years experience with Linux
- Experience with managed and cloud databases.
- Experience with SQL
- Good English communication skills – both written and spoken (B2 at least)
