In anticipation of the increasing scale and complexity of our business, we are currently seeking a Data Engineering Team Lead who plays a pivotal role in shaping Booksy's long-term vision in the data engineering domain. They coordinate the daily activities of data and analytics engineers, ensuring prompt and top-notch delivery. Collaborating closely with Booksy's executives, they understand their data-related requirements and offer viable solutions within budget constraints.

Your responsibilities:

• Data Engineering Strategy: Collaborate with the Director of Enterprise Technology to craft a long-term data vision aligning with Booksy's needs and industry trends.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with executives, analysts, and data scientists to understand their data requirements and develop solutions that meet business goals.
• Team Leadership: Coordinate Data Analysts and Engineers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality objectives. Support team members' growth through feedback and tailored training.
• Data Warehouse Architecture: Define technical architecture to meet engineer/analyst needs, ensure manageability, and optimize costs.
• Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify and resolve data issues, optimize queries, and enhance warehouse performance for efficient data processing and reporting.

Our requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data analysis roles
• Extensive expertise in Data Engineering Technologies: Python, SQL, Databases, Git.
• Proficient in Cloud Technologies: Terraform, Big Query, PubSub, CloudRun, etc.
• Strong people management skills to lead and inspire teams towards delivering high-quality work and fostering innovation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate data needs to stakeholders and ensure timely collaboration.
• Proficiency in planning and execution, understanding internal and external requirements, prioritizing tasks, and executing plans effectively.
• Fluent level of English.
