Your role
The Cloud Network Operations Engineer is a critical role within Data and Analytics Solutions, responsible for day-to-day operations, maintenance, and engineering of the network in a hybrid-cloud environment. The person in this role will be part of a global Cloud Network Operations team which provides 24/7 support for Data and Analytics Solutions customers and internal needs
- Provide efficient and timely resolution to outstanding tickets.
- Work with customers to resolve VPN connectivity issues and application performance issues.
- Work with Vendors on support cases and escalations.
- Provide off hours support to resolve emergency incidents.
- Assist and provide root cause analysis for outages.
- Maintain heterogeneous network infrastructure providing expertise in different areas.
- Responsible for ensuring network equipment configuration meets or exceeds corporate standards and policies.
- Update network diagrams and documentation as needed.
- Participate in building and maintaining processes and procedures on change management, problem management, incident management and configuration management.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of configuring and troubleshooting L2L IPsec VPN Tunnels
- Solid experience with packet analysis/debugging and application troubleshooting
- Strong abilities in managing firewalls and troubleshooting firewall issues, preferably on Cisco ASA and Palo Alto platforms
- Experience with loadbalancing technologies, preferably on Citrix ADC platforms (Netscaler)
- Solid ability to configure and troubleshoot routing using standard routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF and static routing.
- Strong experience using Cisco routers and switches with both IOS and NXOS software.
