Senior QA Engineer

Project description:We don’t just build backend systems — we engineer living, breathing ecosystems of data for the life science industry. Picture a labyrinth of microservices, APIs whispering secrets, and data pipelines humming in the dark.

We need a QA Engineer who thrives on unraveling complex integrations and ensuring our backend components don’t go rogue. You’ll be the final line of defense between brilliant research tools and total chaos — a bug exorcist who knows when to run a smoke test and when to dig deep into the depths of integration.

Essentials skills for your mission:

• You have the required years of experience as specified by your educational background:

  • At least 5 years of experience working as a software engineer with a Bachelor's degree, including 2 years as a QA engineer.

  • At least 3 years of experience working as a software engineer with a Master’s degree, including 2 years as a QA engineer.

  • Relevant expertise and skills that align with the role expectations, with or without related experience, for candidates with a PhD.

  • Equivalent work experience, which includes at least 5 years as a software engineer and 2 years as a QA engineer.

• You have experience in software test design, automated test development and execution, improvement of existing and creation of new test frameworks

• You have experience implementing and executing automated test scripting using TestNG, Appium Selenium or similar frameworks

• You have experience implementing performance testing using tools like JMeter

• You are familiar with the following backend technologies: Java 21+, frameworks like Spring Boot 3+ and frontend technologies: React, Vue or Angular

• You enjoy developing clean, stable, testable, performant and very well documented code, serving our beautiful applications

• You have experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud providers

• You enjoy guiding and sharing your knowledge with other engineers

• Great written and verbal communication in English

  
  

Bonus skills:

• Knowledge of Infra as Code, Terraform and Github Actions 

• Understanding of medical, security, and privacy regulations

• Knowledge of the diabetes industry or other comparable health industries
