Senior Python Developer

The project entails development of a platform that enables digital workflows by executing, visualizing and documenting the lab processes and automates the data flow between instruments, IT systems and raw data storage.

The platform comprises of:

• Python Broker: The python broker is a major element to execute data transformations that are required to run the digital workflows.
• Dashboard UI: The AutoLab Dashboard will be responsible for providing the features and infrastructure necessary to run the digital workflows while providing standardized development interfaces for development of new workflows.
• IoT-Hub including Device Connectors: IoT-Hub acts as the main integration layer between the workflow engine (Camunda) and device connectors on host PCs. The connectors will create working copies of device files and upload it to our MinIO instance. Connectors can also be used to execute defined actions (“triggers”) if a certain event happens in the device PC, such as the creation of a particular file or a signal is received from a tool/system

Candidate requirements:

• At least 5+ years of experience in software development with Python (numpy, requests, http and REST API experience, async IO).
• CI/CD tools experience, basic: DevOps and Kubernetes as well is a plus.
• At least 6+ years of experience in SQL
• Knowledge / experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka will be an asset.
• Experience in using Agile methodology, ability to work with SCRUM framework.
• Advanced skills and experience with version control and JIRA-like tasks. management.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• English at least at B2 level
• Biology, chemistry and life sciences background are not mandatory but a big plus.
