Informal gathering of Java Talent seeks Senior Developer

As a Senior Java Developer your main responsibility will be working as part of an Agile team on maintenance and development of new features on the platform of one of our portfolio companies.

We develop solely for a group Dutch companies, so your liaisons will be familiar faces. Our group consists out of:

a crowdfundingplatform (fintech)
a converged communications company (telco)
a AWS cloud hosting company (application hosting)

All companies rely heavily on a web based service panels and strong back-end (java) applications for supporting high volume of customer transactions.

What skills do we expect?

Solid experience in software development using Java (preferably Java 8; knowledge relating to JavaScript development would be beneficial too)
Good command of English language or Dutch (both spoken and written).
Experience in using databases (ideally MySQL)
JPA / Hibernate GIT / Mercurial
Basic knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, Javascript, JQuery)
Enjoy travelling to the Netherlands twice a year for four days
Knowledge and commitment to design patterns
Passion for continuous professional development and eagerness to expand one's technical knowledge

In addition, it may be useful to have knowledge of: Spring Framework, Play Framework, TeamCity, Security issues of web applications, FIFA 17 (or older) *, football and or climbing
