The recent acquisition of Primetric, based in Wroclaw, Poland, will allow BigTime to expand our commitment to meeting the growing list of mission-critical needs for businesses within the professional services sector.

With the acquisition of Primetric, we are expanding our footprint internationally and will be launching a Development Center of Excellence in Wroclaw, Poland.

BigTime Software is seeking a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience with AWS cloud computing, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm and a strong understanding of DevOps principles with Gitlab. Knowledge of Python is a plus. This role will play a crucial part in our efforts to streamline and automate our development and deployment processes.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Git and GitLab for version control.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Scripting skills, particularly in Python (Nice to have).
  • Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with Helm for Kubernetes deployments
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication in English and Polish and collaboration skills.
  • AWS certification(s) a plus.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda).
  • Knowledge of infrastructure automation and configuration management tools (Ansible).
  • Familiarity with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
  • Cloud security best practices and certifications.
  • Experience with additional cloud providers (Azure, GCP).
  • Certification in relevant technologies (AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, etc.).


Role Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform/Terragrunt to ensure efficient provisioning and management of AWS resources.
  • AWS Management: Deploy, configure, and manage AWS services, including EC2 instances, managed databases databases (RDS, Elasticache, DocumentDB), S3 buckets, and more.
  • Kubernetes: Deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters on Amazon EKS to orchestrate containerized applications. Maintain Helm charts and manage application deployments using Helmfile.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD or to automate application deployment, testing and monitoring.
  • Automation: Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus stack) to ensure system health and performance.
  • Security: Collaborate with external auditors to implement and maintain security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management according to SOC2 certification.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
