Senior QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to help our Swiss client take the live-streaming world by storm!

Our client is a young Swiss scale-up company, Vinivia, dedicated to providing an interactive, AR-enabled, live-streaming solution for individuals, corporations, brands, and ad agencies. They aim to become the #1 platform in the streaming world and are now expanding their team to reach this goal.

We are looking for a (Senior) QA Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for ensuring high-quality software products and an understanding of testing pyramids and tests segmentation. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining automated test suites for Web and Mobile, using technologies like Cypress, Detox, and implementing modern testing approaches like contract testing and fully automated development pipelines. You will be working in collaboration with a multifunctional team, composed of other developers, QAs, designers, and product owners.

What you will do in this role

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web and mobile applications.
•  Implement and adhere to testing best practices, including continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), and contract testing.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and efficient test code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all features are thoroughly tested and meet requirements.
•  Debug and troubleshoot issues found during testing.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in automation testing.
• Mentor and lead junior QA engineers.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality standards are met.
• Ensure the application is fully optimized for performance and security.

We’re looking for

• At least 3–5 years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer.
• Strong experience with automated testing technologies such as Cypress and Detox.
• Excellent understanding of software testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with modern front-end build pipelines and tools such as Webpack, Babel, etc.
• Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), and contract testing.
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs, server-side rendering, and related technologies.
• Knowledge of agile software development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
