Senior IT Administrator - Nykredit

We are searching for a Senior IT Administrator!

For this role, we are looking for someone to join Nykredit – one of the banks BEC Poland works closely with.

Nykredit is both a bank and a mortgage provider owned by an association of customers. Being customer-owned, they are in a unique position to give something back to their customers when they are doing well. Together they can simply do more for their customers and for society.

This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw. We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a Senior IT Administrator you will be responsible for various applications, mostly based on Linux. Main applications are Atlassian stack and CI/CD solutions. Furthermore, you will be responsible for implementing automation scripts using Ansible. Your expertise will be crucial in managing the CI/CD process with tools such as Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, and Octopus. Additionally, you will play a key role in enhancing and customizing Jira functionalities through scripting with ScriptRunner.

At Nykredit, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to eight days per month. Your direct manager will be Jesper Schultz.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

  • Atlassian stack back-end administration (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Bamboo)
  • Automation of administration processes and Infrastructe as Code (IaC) for installation, upgrade, staging, backup, restoring
  • Troubleshooting and optimization of the CI/CD workflows with Bitbucket/Github, Bamboo/Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube and Octopus
  • Linux administration, ensuring optimal performance, monitoring and security
  • Automation script development using Ansible for efficient system provisioning and configuration
  • Scripting with Adaptavist ScriptRunner for Jira to automate workflows and extend functionalities

To succeed you will have:   

  • Proven senior-level experience as an IT Administrator with a demonstrated track record in managing and supporting three-layer applications
  • Expert Linux administration skills (preferable RedHat)
  • Proficiency in Docker containerization including creating, deploying, and managing Docker containers on OpenShift platform
  • Knowledge in scripting in Bash and automation tools like Ansible
  • Knowledge in debugging CI/CD processes with Bitbucket or GitHub (GIT) as a code repository software and Jenkins or Bamboo as an automation platform
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL
  • Experience with Windows server administration
  • Familiarity with MongoDB, Redis and MS SQL is a plus
  • Familiarity with managing Apache and Tomcat
  • Familiarity with Java or Groovy programming language (scripting)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English and Polish
