    Job description

    We are searching for a QA automation engineer (senior)

    This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw, Poland and you will join our Speedboat Investment Program. The program is in charge improving the digital self services in the investment area.

    The QA automation engineer role offers an opportunity to work with latest frontend technology (latest Angular) using modern multiplatform micro frontends built on OpenUI and Ionic Portals. You will join a team of highly motivated colleagues and an engaged client. At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month. Your direct manager will be Ronni Nielsen.


    Primary task and responsibilities include:

    • Quality Leadership: Serve as the primary driver of testing and quality within the team, crafting a clear vision and strategy for testing and ensuring its successful implementation.
    • Automation Excellence: Create , maintain, and enhance the automation framework to align with best practices, ensuring a robust and healthy automation base.
    • Expertise Development: Become a subject matter expert in the business domain of the team, providing valuable insights and guidance on quality assurance matters.
    • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior QA members in adopting and excelling in automation testing techniques.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with team members and the company’s QA service team to adopt best practices, streamline processes, and initiate automation projects.


    To succeed you will have: 

    • Automation Testing: Advanced proficiency in UI and API, capable of crafting comprehensive testing framework.
    • QA Processes: A deep understanding of the QA processes is essential, recognizing that automation expertise must be complemented by a solid grasp of quality assurance principles.
    • Testing Frameworks: Strong experience with Playwright preferred. Alternatively, Cypress or Selenium.
    • Mocking and Stubbing: Experience in creating mocks and stubs for testing purposes.
    • Programming Languages: Familiarity with Typescript is desirable; however, proficiency in other programming languages (eg java, python) is accepted.
    • CI/CD Expertise: Proficient in both the tools (such as Jenkins) and the processes of CI/CD, with an ability to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
    • Self-motivated and structured: You are able to organize and drive the QA agenda, good at communication, helps team to clarify requirements (towards an ATDD setup)
    • Positive and full of energy: “A bug found during testing is a bug not hitting the end-user”
    • ISTQB Foundation certificate


    It’s nice-to-have:

    • Accessibility: Experience in accessibility testing (WCAG 2)
    • Non-Functional Testing: Knowledge of performance automation testing is highly desirable
