Infrastructure specialist (Atlassian)

This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw Poland and you will join our Delivery Tooling team. The team is in charge of the Atlassian stack in BEC, including Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket. There is also a desire to take in new tools such as Jenkins & Artifactory. 

The Atlassian Engineer offers an opportunity to embark on a mission from running on classic old infrastructure to automated deployments via OpenShift & ArgoCD. It will be a mix of working with infrastructure, application configuration, and solving customer requests. YAt BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month. 

Primary tasks and responsibilities:

In the position your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Create customized workflows, fields, screens, and dashboards in Jira to enhance team collaboration and efficiency. 
• Solving incoming tickets related to the Atlassian suite, providing efficient solutions and enhancing user experience.  
• Document configurations, processes, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency. 
• Install, upgrade, and integrate Jira with other applications and plugins. 
• Configure infrastructure in and automated and reliable way 

In the position the following skills and competencies are required:  

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Atlassian tools: Jira Software, Jira Service Desk, Confluence and BitBucket  
• Experience in scripting language (Groovy) 
• Strong understanding of Windows and/or Linux operating systems 
• Experience in Agile ways of working 
• Outgoing and customer facing approach is essential 
• Great communication skills, incl. fluent in English (written and spoken) 
• A can-do attitude
• Seeing new tasks as opportunities rather than challenges.

It’s nice-to-have: 

• Experience with database and writing SQL queries  
• Experience with Jenkins and Artifactory  
• Experience in system architecture and design  
• Experience with OpenShift and/or Helm
