Senior data engineer!

We are searching for a Senior data engineer!

This role requires not only an experienced engineer, who “speaks” SQL better than her/his native language and reads ER Diagrams nearly as good as a daily newspaper, but also a professional who is able to work independently finding his way through new as well as “legacy” technologies. An individual who can take a role of a Data Sherlock, is not afraid to defend his ideas and act as a team player to deliver a common goal.

This position is based in our friendly office on 22nd floor in Warsaw city center. You will join The Data Foundation Team which is responsible for the delivery and continuous availability of the high quality data for the whole Nykredit business. In the future these solutions will be migrated from on-premises Oracle and Informatica Power Center platform to a large scale hybrid cloud platform based on MS Azure and Ab Initio.

At Nykredit, we prefer to collaborate in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to eight days per month.

Main tasks and responsibilities include:

• Participating in DWH projects as an ETL Developer/Data Engineer
• Designing and implementing ETL processes
• Optimizing the performance of complex data loads
• Testing, documenting and maintaining the solution

To succeed:

• You will have an educational background (university degree) related to the position advertised (Computer Science/Mathematics/Physics/Finance/Banking)
• You are an experienced data engineer with five or more years of experience in creating BI solutions
• You have extensive experience with ETL tools (for example, Informatica PowerCenter or Ab Initio)
• You have experience in MS Azure technologies (Synapse, ADLS, Azure DevOps)
• You have worked with Data Vault models (nice to have)
• You are structured and understand the need to document your deliveries
• You have analytical mind, are able to see the big picture
• You are proactive, self-driven and result-orientated
• You can communicate and work across country borders.
• You have excellent English skills - both written and spoken.
