AI Engineer

We are searching for an AI engineer (evangelist)

This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw, Poland, and you will join our newly establish AI hub. The AI hub is a centralized support unit in charge of anchoring AI exploration, legislation and user adoption. The AI Engineer offers exiting work around the newest knowledge on AI technology and trends, an area where the technological development pace is high, new legislation is coming in force, and a changed risk perspective needs to be handled. Joining the AI hub will ensure a work day with other passionate employees within AI.

At BEC, we work in a hybrid remote model, coming into the office 3 days a week and working remotely for 2 days. Your direct manager will be, Henriette Jensen.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI technology, including Machine Learning and Generative AI.
• Hands on experiments on newest technologies.
• Act as an AI (incl. Machine learning, NLP, LLM, RAG) evangelist, promoting the benefits and potential of AI technologies within the organization and with customers.
• Close collaboration with other Hub resources e.g. for security, data and compliance expert to support the development of AI in organizational software development units.
• Communicate complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Conduct red teaming exercises to identify and mitigate potential risks in AI systems.

To succeed you will have: 

• Passion for AI and its potential to transform industries, preferably in the financial sector
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience or strong ambitions to develop the skillset for AI knowledge.
• Programming skills in languages such as Python, or Java.
• Experience with AI frameworks and libraries such as LangChain.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

It’s nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure Cloud.
• Proven experience in AI technology, including Machine Learning and Generative AI.
• Strong understanding of AI principles and methodologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• A desire to learn new things, and teach this to others
• A can-do attitude and proactive approach to solving tasks
