This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw, and you will join Accounting Data & Regulatory Reporting team in Data, Analytics & Reporting domain.
In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and compliance of our financial reporting solutions—particularly in the context of the migration of Nykredit and Spar Nord to BEC’s platform. You will be responsible for the successful testing of major programs, ensuring that our solutions meet the highest standards of reliability and regulatory compliance. You’ll be part of the domain, where we develop and maintain solutions supporting statutory and regulatory reporting, internal financial reporting, data quality and reconciliation processes and migration validation and post-migration reporting integrity. Your direct manager will be Shaun Cassingham.
At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month.
Primary tasks and responsibilities:
Design and maintain comprehensive test cases and test plans for migration and financial reporting projects
Collaborate closely with business analysts and developers to ensure test coverage aligns with business needs and regulatory requirements
Execute manual and automated tests to validate data integrity, reporting accuracy, and system functionality
Document test results, ensuring traceability and compliance with BEC’s QA standards
Identify, report, and support the resolution of defects through structured QA processes
Take ownership of the end-to-end testing lifecycle for major programs, ensuring timely and successful delivery
To succeed, you will:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Very good command of English to be able to easily communicate both speaking and writing
Have a structured, detail-oriented, and critical QA mindset
Bring experience in software testing, ideally within the banking or financial sector
Understand accounting principles and financial data flows
Are familiar with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Xray)
Thrive in cross-functional teams and agile environments
Nice to have:
Experience with data migration projects or large-scale system transitions
ISTQB certification or similar QA qualifications
Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and scripting
