AI Data engineer (Senior)- AIhub team

This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw, Poland, and you will join our newly establish AI hub. The AI hub is a centralized support unit in charge of anchoring AI exploration, legislation and user adoption. The AI data engineer role offers exciting opportunities for working at enterprise level advising on data to be used in AI solutions across all BECs development domains with the use of data from both internal and external sources. You will be working together with data scientists and development teams to ensure the efficiency, accuracy, and security of data assets for training, implementing and evaluating AI solutions. 

Joining the AI hub will ensure a workday with other passionate employees working on different aspects within AI e.g. compliance, technical solutions and user adoption. 

At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month.

Primary task and responsibilities include: 

• Advising on collecting, cleaning and transforming data for use in AI solutions 
• Create explorative data analysis to detect patterns and insights 
• Advise on validation and evaluation of data  
• Support in the creation of data dashboards and reports for communication data insights 
• Be an advisor on topics around data bias, hallucinations and more related to GenAI 
• Support the implementation of AI legislation and policies in BEC, e.g. for data requirements 
• Communicate complex AI data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.  

To succeed you will have:   

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• Proven experience (at least 5 years) as a data scientist, data analyst or similar
• Competences within e.g. Python, SQL (or similar) and data visualization tools 
• Experience with machine learning or other AI related methods 
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• A desire to learn new things, and teach this to others 
• A can-do attitude and proactive approach to solving tasks

It’s nice-to-have: 

• Knowledge and experience with machine learning frameworks, like TensorFlow
• Experience or willingness to learn about data issues related to using GenAI, e.g. bias, hallucinations 
• Knowledge of GDPR legislation and challenges for AI use of data
