Banqsoft is the leading provider of financial software solutions for asset finance companies, digital banks and credit management companies in the Nordics. We develop and manage the region's most exciting portfolio of financial systems and we do it with great enthusiasm and pride. We have 350 employees based in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Poland and Malaysia.
We are growing and now looking for a Business Unit Manager Development in the Business Area Digital Banking. The role will be of great importance for the future development of Digital Banking and Banqsoft, as we are expanding to Europe and APAC.
About the role
Banqsoft is in the process of implementing DevOps and continuous delivery, and this role will be instrumental in making the change a success, both from a technical perspective and by improving ways of working. As BU Manager Development you have a growing team of 30+ people reporting to you, including five Team Leads. You will report to Director Digital Banking and be a member of Digital Banking’s Management Team.
To succeed in the role as Business Unit Manager Development, we believe you started your career in software engineering and have progressed to a managerial/leadership role. Having worked in an international setting and being able to work well with different nationalities, cultures and genders is also key. At Banqsoft, we work closely with our customers, so you should be interested in customer needs - previous experience in customer dialogues is a plus.
What will you be doing
- Develop technical aspects of Digital Banking’s strategy to ensure alignment with business goals
- Develop technological standards in close collaboration with Product Management and Head Architects
- Secure efficient implementation of products and solutions with outstanding quality·
- Ensure technologies are used efficiently, profitably and securely
- Implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage
- Build quality assurance and data protection processes
- Continuously develop agile methodologies and ways of working such as DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
- Monitor KPIs and budgets to assess the unit’s performance
- Lead the business unit, ensuring skills development and job satisfaction
- Ensure coordination and collaboration with other units and business areas in Banqsoft
We would like to hear from you if you
- Are highly experienced in technology and software engineering. You probably started your career as a software developer and moved up to a leadership role
- Have developed transaction-based systems previously, preferably in the financial industry
- Have previous leadership experience, with a genuine interest in developing your team members
- Have implemented or been involved in agile transformation. You have deep understanding of agile and lean thinking and experience with concrete frameworks and techniques such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean Startup, SAFe, DevOps and Continuous Delivery
- Are people minded with a passion for working with Agile methodology
- Are proactive and have a pragmatic approach to methods and processes, and can use your judgement to apply models and approaches that best fit within the context
- Are capable of challenging pre-set standards while collaborating well across Banqsoft’s organization
- Are truly interested in understanding our customers’ business and how Banqsoft’s products and solutions support their business
- Have unquestionable integrity and credibility, demonstrating high moral and ethical behavior
