We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer to join our project focused on providing continuous service for Oracle-based applications within a leading bank. The role involves ensuring seamless implementation, integrity testing, application validation, troubleshooting, and support for production environments. You will work with Oracle versions from 12c to 19c, primarily focusing on the stability and enhancement of the complete database environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain pre-PROD environments for Fast-Start Failover (FSFO) configuration.
- Sync and troubleshoot DataGuard issues, including rebuilding standby environments as necessary.
- Create and validate database services at the pluggable database (PDB) level.
- Migrate older PDBs to new container databases.
- Activate and troubleshoot FSFO settings.
- Execute switchover and failover tests in pre-PROD environments.
- Apply database-level patches.
- Implement operating system changes related to Unix processes, load management, and daemon handling.
- Address issues related to Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and disaster recovery (DR).
- Set up Oracle GoldenGate microservices and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Implement changes in production environments as needed.
Required skills and experience:

Experience: 10+ years of experience managing Oracle Databases (versions 12c to 19c) with hands-on experience in RAC and DataGuard.

Operating system: Proficiency in Linux environments.

Oracle tools: Strong experience with DataGuard, RMAN, Data Pump, and OEM.

Architecture: Familiarity with database architecture design principles.

Problem solving: Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting and problem-solving in production RAC (ASM) environments.

Self-motivated: Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a strong focus on details.

GoldenGate expertise: Practical knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate, including downstream databases, process flow, and startup/shutdown procedures.

FSFO & storage: Strong knowledge of FSFO configurations and storage solutions.

Process management: Experience in change management, incident management, and Oracle SR handling.

OEM: Knowledge of OEM architecture and performance monitoring
Work location requirements: This role requires the candidate to work from our client's office in Tricity or Warsaw once a week to facilitate collaboration and team engagement.
