Job description
We are an autonomous team of full-stack Scala developers in the R&D department. We work on a lot of libraries, both internal (services monitoring engine with an AI-powered data analysis module, web components library) and external https://udash.io. In cooperation with other teams @AVSystem, e.g. UMP, Coiote IoT Data Orchestration and Coiote IoT Device Management we mostly create solutions for IoT and Telco clients.
100% of our code is peer-reviewed (we test most of it!) and a lot of it is shared as open-source. You can meet us at tech conferences and meetups such as KSUG, Scalar, Sphere.it where we showcase our work.
Scope of responsibilities/tasks:
- comprehensive monitoring data analysis
- implementation, testing and deployment of selected solutions
- model performance evaluation and tuning
Attributes:
- strong analytical skills and an eye for detail
- proficiency in transforming business requirements into data-driven technical solutions
- excellent collaboration and communication
Required skills and experience:
- hands-on experience with data gathering, understanding, preparation and visualization
- experience with building and evaluation of both supervised and unsupervised machine learning models
- deep understanding of algorithms, data structures and general programming principles
- familiarity with one of: Scala/Python/R/Julia or other data science programming language with related data mining toolboxes
- willingness to learn Scala
- fluency in English
Nice to have:
- experience with time-series data, online machine learning methods and anomaly detection approaches
- familiarity with stream processing
- mathematical background, especially in terms of algebra and statistics
- research experience
