We are an independent team of C and C++ developers in the R&D department. We work mostly on libraries facilitating remote device management over LwM2M and CWMP protocols (e.g. https://github.com/AVSystem/anjay) but also on client applications based on these libraries running on Linux or real-time OSes. In cooperation with other teams at AVSystem, we create solutions for IoT and Telco clients.
Currently, we are looking for a person to lead our embedded team. As a leader of a highly qualified team of engineers, you will have the opportunity to influence culture, facilitate technical implementation, and work with the team on strategy and execution. You will be the point of contact for all team members, managers, and product owners across the company, therefore both technical and leadership competencies are essential for this position.
Required skills and experience:
- 3 years of experience in leading a development team
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and technical judgement
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (both Polish and English)
- Min. 5 years of hands-on experience in software development (min. 2 years in C or C ++)
- Strong understanding of embedded systems, Linux, and real-time operating systems
- Knowledge of computer networks and security
- Experience and understanding of Agile software development methods
Responsibilities:
- Managing, leading, and building (servant leader is our philosophy) a team of 4 developers
- Providing technical and people leadership for a team of embedded software engineers
- Ensuring the overall quality of products and value created by the team
- Creating an inspiring environment with an open communication culture
- Establishing feedback loops both inside and outside of the team
- Actively participating in the product development process (design, code, review, tests, documentation, maintenance)
- Collaboratively working with a passionate team of engineers programming in C/C++
