Job description

Project for one of the biggest nordic financial institutions. Team consists of 8-10 people (Developers, SM, PM, Analyst). Work methodology is Scrum. Long-term cooperation.

It is possible to work 100% remotely apart from onboarding and occasional (once per month) visits in office.

Responsibilities:

Designing ETL solutions
Implementing the designed ETL solutions in stored procedures in Snowflake
Documenting the ETL solutions and managing their evolution

Required Skills/Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Systems
5 years of professional experience working on designing and implementing ETL solutions, interacting with complex data processing pipelines
Experience in coding complex SQL queries in Oracle or MS SQL Server (Most of the transformation logic in our ETL flows is written in SQL)
Advanced knowledge of ETL concepts (e.g. loading a dimension table, loading a fact table)
Good knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and dimensional data model design
Good knowledge of Data Integration concepts
Strong skills in translating business requirements into ETL solutions
Ability to work independently and under own initiative once guidance and goals are provided
Some hands-on experience in writing stored procedures in Snowflake. You’ll be writing stored procedures in Snowflake
Some hands-on experience with IBM DataStage. IBM DataStage is used for integration, orchestration and scheduling for the ETL processes.
Experience with Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jira and Unix
Knowledge about banking domain. Adequate support and training will be provided to the right candidate
