- Lead cross-functional teams designing and building scalable data-intensive services – mix of Java and big data technologies in the cloud: Java, Spring, Cloud (AWS preferred) plus Scala, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and similar.
- Work closely with product owners and business stakeholders to design technical solutions to fit product needs.
- Support improvements in engineering discipline and practices in a team. Apply consistently high standards of engineering practices and deliver quality software at each stage of the development lifecycle.
- Mentor developers from various disciplines and ensuring their constant professional growth.
- Work as part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional, agile platform delivery team, nurturing a friendly and supportive culture.
- Evaluate projects, develop, and update schedules plus supervise project status.
- Collaborate effectively with all team members as well as hold regular team meetings.
- As a subject matter expert provide leadership and technical counseling to other teams and research users as necessary.
- Participate in vendor selection for the deployment of the solutions as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
