Lead cross-functional teams designing and building scalable data-intensive services – mix of Java and big data technologies in the cloud: Java, Spring, Cloud (AWS preferred) plus Scala, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and similar.
Work closely with product owners and business stakeholders to design technical solutions to fit product needs.
Support improvements in engineering discipline and practices in a team. Apply consistently high standards of engineering practices and deliver quality software at each stage of the development lifecycle.
Mentor developers from various disciplines and ensuring their constant professional growth.
Work as part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional, agile platform delivery team, nurturing a friendly and supportive culture.
Evaluate projects, develop, and update schedules plus supervise project status.
Collaborate effectively with all team members as well as hold regular team meetings.
As a subject matter expert provide leadership and technical counseling to other teams and research users as necessary.
Participate in vendor selection for the deployment of the solutions as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
