About the job

The Arla IT Solutions are installed in various versions on more than 50 dairy sites across Europe to enable daily execution of global production targets. Arla IT is in progress of upgrading the OT and Automation Infrastructure on all sites as an important step to meet the digitalization strategy targets of company.

Our end users on the dairies require and look to meet the necessary standards in industrial software platform and interface to enable operational users to monitor and control the plant performance and deliver operational goals.

In ARLA, we standardise on Siemens and Rockwell therefore our preferred candidates will have extensive experience with programming Siemens Automation and Allen Bradley’s automation software’s (other vendors are also beneficial)

As a Senior Automation Consultant you will be a part of the Automation & Infrastructure Team joining our Dairy ART in the IT Solutions where we are using agile methods as the way of working in the SAFe framework®.

You will be located in either our Viby or Gdansk office.

However, you should expect approx. 20 days of travel per year primarily to our locations across Europe.

Your daily work will require close cooperation within our business unit as a valuable member but also be in regular communication with other business owners and external consultants.

You will be a part of further developing and rolling out our Arla Solutions by CAPEX project delivery with relation to domain expertise area Automation and Control solutions for all our Dairies.

Who are you:

• Strong problem-solver and trouble-shooter,
• Aware and understand the following: ISA95, S88, Pack ML and MTP.
• Have at least 5+ years of experience in automation development and/or programming ,
• Adaptability and Collaboration are natural assets that you use every day.

 Specifically, you have experience with:

• Programming of Siemens and/or Allen Bradley Automation software’s
• Production Recipes (Recipe Management Systems)
• ISA88 Batch production logs and traceability
• PLC execution of production orders

Nice to have knowledge of/ be familiar with:

• MS SQL server stored procedures and views
• SAP MII backend transactions
• Wonderware/Aveva System Platform and MES system
• Module Type Package (MTP)
• IAS95 integration to an ERP system for Production orders (XML/B2MML)
• Aveva System Platform

Furthermore, you have: 

• A degree within Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
• Experience of working with production environments where stability and uptime is key.
• Experience is FMCG.
• Familiarization with the Agile and Scrum methods.
• Experience from working in a multicultural environment, meaning you can communicate effortlessly in English, writing and spoken.
