Senior Architect - M365 & Collaboration

You will join the “Digital Service and Infrastructure” agile release train within our global IT department and will be located in our modern IT Hub in Gdansk. You are a member of a highly skilled architectural team of 8 architects, split between Germany, Denmark and Poland.

“Most of your day you will work in an agile team and you will be responsible for the architecture in our M365 & Collaboration areas and you will ensure the team and stakeholders can understand your technical guidelines to bring our business high quality solutions and business value” says Senior Manager and Release Train Architect Sven Saxler.

How you will make an impact

As a Senior Architect, you will impact our businesses in- and outside our IT department supporting them building strong solutions. You will have the architecture responsibility for our global M365 & Collaboration Services and you will work on making the service even better for our end-users in many countries around the world. With input from other Solution Architects in other domains, you create a perfect design to secure the best performance and data security. In your role, you will have a close collaboration with our IT Operations Services teams, the Service Delivery Managers and our Information Security team to drive our Zero Trust agenda.

Further, you will have the architectural responsibility for:

• Architecture responsibility for our global M365 and Collaboration Services.
• You will be responsible for designing the Backup and Restore technologies within the M365 environment.
• Zero Trust Journey: You will collaborate with our Information Security organization (Lead by our CISO) to advance our Zero Trust journey in the Microsoft 365 domain. By leveraging your expertise, you will contribute to the design of robust security measures and ensure a secure and trusted environment for our users. 
• Sustainability: At Arla, we are committed to sustainability and reducing our environmental impact. As a Senior M365 Architect, you will have a role in promoting and designing sustainable practices within the M365 and Collaboration Services. 
• Responsible for creating and maintaining standards, surrounding documentation related to M365 & Collaboration processes and procedures.
• Responsible to support our IT – Operations Services teams and the Service Delivery Managers.
• Responsible for technical Roadmaps / Strategies / Target Architectures.
• You secure in your designs, that your solutions are compliance to Arla processes and security policies defined by our Information Security organization.

What will make you successful

You have a strong business process understanding, allowing you with your excellent communication skills to engage with your business owners and other relevant stakeholders. In combination with you communication skills, you have experience in coordination between different areas of responsibility in complex deliveries and system environments – preferably in a scaled Agile framework context. You are good in balancing agile speed, designing easy and innovative solutions with always having the mindset of high stable and secure solutions. Further, we expect you to possess below functional competencies:

• Have a good understanding of architectural tasks in general
• Experience in working as a (Senior) Architect for the last years
• Good experiences in creating roadmaps and strategies
• Deep technical knowledge of the mentioned technologies
• Good Knowledge in other mailservices and collaboration tools as example like Sendgrid or Apsis (or others) for email marketing tools or mass mailing solutions and DMARC for mail security or Whatsapp for Business.

Further, it is a requirement to speak and write English effortlessly and have the ability to do some travels mainly between our two IT Hubs in Denmark and Poland (Gdansk).
