    Do you want to lead a team being responsible for developing applications for our dairy sites across the globe? And are you motivated to join Arla in a role where you get to tie technologies together and drive the digital agenda in our production?

     

    “As a Manager for the Application Area, one of your first tasks will be to build a strong performing team and you will together impact how Arla is moving forward and shaping the way the organization is working with applications for the next many years” says Release Train Engineer, Marcin Hynek.

     

    How you will make an impact

    You will have personal responsibilities of 20+ colleagues which constitute a 70/30 split of internal and external developers divided in four development teams. You will lead the development area in the Dairy Release Train and contribute into the strategic direction including expanding the application area with in-house development. Further, you will take part in driving our digital transformation from converting Arla being a classic application development to a more modern software house, tailored made approach using continuous improvement and continuous delivery pipeline (CI/CD), deployment with Docker and AZ GIT.

     

    You will likewise have a primary role in strengthen the ways of working with Operation Department for the future services that will be deployed with the CI/CD. Here, you will have an influential role in deciding the future setup on the applications. E.g. a classic Dev and OPS mode versus converting the teams into a full blown DevOPS and setting the new level of quality that application can deliver running 24/7/365.

     

    Specifically, you will:

    • Drive three development teams to words a more modern CI/CD setup
    • Make sure the teams are working towards the same goal and direction
    • Drive the overall solution setup by the architect into executable design
    • Making sure we can deliver the best service level as possible
    • Start transforming the teams into a more automated test mindset

     

    You will be joining the extended Release Train Manager Team, directly driving the area improvements and delivery, as main voice of you team members securing performance and a good place to work.

    Further, the ideal candidate has:

     

    • Strong technical knowledge in one of the areas within Dairy Release Train
    • Experience with agile work approach using the Agile SAFe framework
    • Preferably experience with as People Manager

     

    Furthermore to stay on top of your game and to be a mentor for the teams in code development, you will from time to time have a deep dive possibility acquiring disciplines like .Net Core development, Angular Java framework, Mobile development and Microsoft PowerApps
