Job description
- Participating in the design and creation of scalable software
- Writing clean, functional code, front-end and back-end
- Design and implementation of new data processing algorithms and pipelines
- Performance tuning and optimization of existing pipelines
- Working in multidisciplinary teams (developers, bioinformaticians and data scientists) to understand customer requirements and provide matching solutions
Requirements
- Degree in computer science, electronic engineering or related field
- Familiarity with frontend technologies: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
- Familiarity with at least one of the JS front-end frameworks VueJS, React, Angular
- Familiarity with UNIX operating systems
- Documented work experience at least 2 years
- Knowledge of relational databases (eg. MySQL, PostgreSQL) or non-relational databases (eg. MongoDB)
- Familiarity with distributed version control systems (eg. Git)
- Experience with automated unit and integration testing
- Some experience in Python
- Proficiency in English with good written and verbal communication skills
You get bonus points for
- Experience working with AWS
- Experience in developing web applications (ideally Django or Flask) and REST APIs
- Familiarity with Electron JS framework
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Big Data technologies and algorithms
