Consumers increasingly expect the highest level of digital experience in their vehicle and Aptiv is actively engaged in answering this expectation. Aptiv implements the infotainment platform which takes some of the best features of smartphones and integrates them natively into an automotive environment. The platform has several layers, starting at the hardware layer with a system-on-a-chip (SoC) and hardware peripherals. On top of that, Aptiv develops hardware abstraction layer (HAL) implementations, vehicle-specific libraries, frameworks and applications, which combined with the Android Automotive OS creates a new standard for the next generations of the infotainment systems.
Position Summary
You will become a member of a Scrum team in the Software Download section. The team is responsible for designing and testing SWDL features for one of the top companies in automotive industry. You will have a possibility to create a highly expected product, from start up to the production phase. Enabling new features and fixing bugs to keep up with the ever growing environment. All this on the verge of embedded world meeting the Internet of Things and Cloud Services.
Your Role
- Embedded software development
- Your work will require engagement in: RTOS (QNX, FreeRTOS/SafeRTOS), OTA (Over the Air update)
- Code development integrated with other vehicle systems
- You will use continuous integration and deployment tools
Your Background
- Proficiency in C/C++ in embedded context
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux and GIT
- Experience with embedded hardware and embedded development tools
- Familiarity with software development best practices and software testing (unit test, component tests, HIL testing)
- Self-starter willing to work in complex and innovative environment
- Team player with efficient communication skills and positive attitude
An advantage will be
- Experience with CI/CD workflows
- Knowledge of Python
- Experience with areas such as Gerrit, Jenkins
- Experience in SWDL/bootloader development, vehicle diagnostics (DoIP/UDS), Ethernet communication, and automotive networks
- Experience with static code analysis
- Experience in automotive embedded development
- Experience with the agile software development process
- Experience shipping software on consumer devices
