What you’ll do 

The main purpose of the role is to write, consult and manage documentation for our products. As a technical writer, you will maintain contact with our product teams, research and gather information about the products for which documentation is created. As a specialized and result driven team worker, you have a central position in creating technical documentation: instruction and installation manuals, etc.
 
The key responsibilities are:
  • Create online help and software documentation such as release notes, end user configuration guides, and administration guides.
  • Produce illustrations and graphics to enhance users’ understanding.
  • Work in an Agile environment with software developers, business analyst, testing engineers, and technical support engineers to develop content.
  • Collaborate with software product owners located in international offices.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy across all product documentation.
  • Maintain and improve existing documents and revise documents as new issues arise.
  • Establish documentation practices with the development teams.

What we’re looking for


The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes & experience:
  • Higher education in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a technical author/writer.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Word.
  • Experience using MadCap Flare or similar help authoring tool.
  • Good work organisation and ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge.
  • Ability to elicit information from experts and learn by experimenting.
  • Dedication and attention to detail.

Advantageous Skills
  • Understanding of accounting principles.
  • Experience working with finance or technical software products.
