What you’ll do
The main purpose of the role is to write, consult and manage documentation for our products. As a technical writer, you will maintain contact with our product teams, research and gather information about the products for which documentation is created. As a specialized and result driven team worker, you have a central position in creating technical documentation: instruction and installation manuals, etc.
The key responsibilities are:
- Create online help and software documentation such as release notes, end user configuration guides, and administration guides.
- Produce illustrations and graphics to enhance users’ understanding.
- Work in an Agile environment with software developers, business analyst, testing engineers, and technical support engineers to develop content.
- Collaborate with software product owners located in international offices.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy across all product documentation.
- Maintain and improve existing documents and revise documents as new issues arise.
- Establish documentation practices with the development teams.
What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes & experience:
- Higher education in a relevant field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a technical author/writer.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Very good knowledge of MS Word.
- Experience using MadCap Flare or similar help authoring tool.
- Good work organisation and ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge.
- Ability to elicit information from experts and learn by experimenting.
- Dedication and attention to detail.
