This is a strategic position to be filled in our organisation. We’re planning to start and develop a very strong but not too big department of UX and UI professionals. First, we need to find the leader; someone who will have the vision of this department and adjust it to the mission of the company. Someone who would become a vital member of the strategic decision committee.
Responsibilities
- Creating & managing a team of UX and UI professionals
- Work with sales managers & project/product owners in conducting user research and usability testing to ensure all designs meet business and user requirements.
- Analyse all research and feedback to gain user insight – and incorporate this feedback into new designs
- Produce wireframes, prototypes, concept sketches, interaction designs and user flows
- Help to create clean and simple user-centred designs
- Work with developers, designers and business analysts to build user-friendly designs
- Keep up to date with competitor products and industry trends.
- Creating a design rationale and specifications
- Provide highly analytical as well as extremely creative ideas to a development team
What you will need
- Proven experience in managing teams
- Understanding of the fundamental aspects of business & marketing strategy
- A good working knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Ability to develop wireframes and prototypes around customer needs
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a professional UX design/research role
- Proficient in wire-framing and comfortable producing concept sketches and user flows
- Experience with some of the tools Invision, Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD.
- Command over a range of qualitative research methods and comfort with quantitative concepts
- An in-depth knowledge of user-centred design methodologies is essential
- Ability to find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability)
- A passion for UX and UI design
- Experience with mobile and responsive design
- Experience of user research and usability testing is highly desirable
- Good command of English
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a distributed team
