 Fullstack Engineer (Java)

Join Appliscale as a Fullstack Java Engineer (Mid) and become an key part of our team. Leverage your TypeScript skills to design, build and test backend functionalities, deploy microservices in AWS using Terraform, and ensure robust performance for users. If you excel in a collaborative, agile environment, we want to hear from you!

You will need to be proficient in backend development with a thorough understandig of the technologies involved. Strong backend skills where you can demonstrate your ability to apply these technologies, as well as deploy and maintain them will be crucial to success.

AWS

Responsibilities:

• Designing, writing, testing functionalities for a backend system written in TypeScript or Java
• Deploying and maintaining microservices in AWS using Terraform
• Maintaining system on production used by consumers from several European countries
• Debugging issues
• Participating in sprint planning, daily sprints and meetings with product owners for grooming new features
• Collaborating with other team members and teams who depend on functionalities that you develop

Requirements:

• 2+ years of production software development experience in backend.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, testing, data structures and algorithms
• Solid hands-on experience in technologies such as Typescript or Java
• Good knowledge of DBMS like PostgreSQL, DynamoDB
• Know-how of REST/GraphQL APIs
• Understanding of OO design patterns, SOLID principles and Clean Code
• Able to work with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM and/or Kanban
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Self-motivation, proactive attitude
• Proficiency in English
