We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect on behalf of our client. 

Description of the role:

1. Domain Solution Architecture Leadership 
   - Own and drive solution architecture consistency within the assigned project/domain, in alignment with the Domain Enterprise Architect 
   - Translate domain target architecture, principles, and roadmaps into actionable solution designs for projects 
   - Ensure architectural coherence across multiple initiatives running in parallel within the domain 
   - Apply expert-level problem-solving to address complex solution design challenges and resolve technical issues  
2. Project & Delivery Support 
   - Provide hands-on solution architecture support to programmes and projects across European entities 
   - Guide and mentor technical teams delivering solutions withinthe domain 
   - Support early project phases including architecture options, feasibility, highlevel design, and estimation 
   - Review and validate solution designs at key delivery milestones 
   - Create clear, comprehensive technical documentation for solutions (Level 4 -Expert proficiency) 
3. Architecture Governance & Standards 
   - Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards, patterns, and guardrails 
   - Act as a key contributor to architecture governance forums (e.g., design reviews, architecture boards) 
   - Identify deviations from standards, assess impact, and support exception handling where justified
   - Promote reuse, simplification, and de-duplication across the domain landscape 
   - Apply and guide teams on architecture patterns and anti-patterns specific to the domain 
   - Define and enforce architecture principles within domain contexts 
4. Integration & Platform Alignment 
   - Apply and enforce the enterprise integration strategy within domain solutions (e.g., API-led, event-driven) 
   - Guide projects in the effective use of enterprise platforms (integration, cloud, data, application platforms) 
   - Reduce point-to-point solutions and support the evolution towards a more modular, scalable architecture 
   - Design integration solutions using appropriate patterns and technologies 
5. Cloud Architecture Leadership 
   - Design and architect cloud-native solutions using platform-appropriate services (AWS) - Level 4 Expert proficiency required 
   - Apply cloud-native patterns and best practices to solution designs 
   - Guide teams on cloud migration strategies and cloud platform adoption
   - Consider cost optimization, scalability, and operational aspects in cloud architectures 
   - Evaluate multi-cloud and hybrid cloud scenarios 
6. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication 
   - Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, delivery teams, and enterprise architecture 
   - Communicate architectural decisions clearly to business, IT, and executive audiences 
   - Collaborate with vendors and system integrators to ensure solutions align with enterprise and domain standards 
   - Influence stakeholders and build consensus on technical approaches 
   - Manage stakeholder expectations effectively throughout project delivery 
7. Technology & Solution Design 
   - Design robust solutions covering Data Architecture, Security Architecture, and Infrastructure requirements 
   - Track and assess emerging technologies relevant to domain delivery (technology radar) 
   - Contribute to Target Operating Model evolution for the domain 
   - Assess and apply AI andMachine Learning technologies where appropriate 
   - Evaluate vendor products and manage vendor relationships 
   - Create and maintain multi-year implementation roadmaps aligned with domain strategy

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent 
• Significant experience (typically 7-10 years) in IT, with proven experience in Solution Architecture roles 
• Strong understanding of enterprise application landscapes, integration patterns, and solution design
• Experience working in complex, multi-country or multi-business environments 
• Ability to balance strategic architectural intent with pragmatic delivery needs 
• Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working closely with Enterprise Architects and contributing to domain or enterprise roadmaps 
• Exposure to legacy modernization, platform consolidation, or large-scale transformation programmes
• Experience with cloud-based architectures, integration platforms, and data-centric solutions
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and product-centric delivery models
• Experience coordinating architecture across multiple vendors or delivery partners
  
• Fluency in English written and verbal (minimum B2 level)

Nice to Have:

• TOGAF® Certification (Foundation or Certified) 
• Cloud architecture certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect) 
• Integration, API, or middlewarerelated certifications 
• Agile or SAFe® certifications
